Slack Integration

Operto Teams can add deep links into the Slack app.

Note: Slack is a messaging app that allows messages to be sent between Teammates and within specific Channels to keep messages organized. Learn more about Slack

Setup

1. Open Slack in a browser window and navigate to any channel.

2. In the URL, find the section starting with the letter T. This is the Slack Team ID

3. Navigate to Setup --> System Settings. Click Edit. Scroll down to the Slack section. Enter the Slack Team ID

4. In Operto Teams , navigate to Setup --> Properties. Edit each Property. For each Property, open the corresponding channel in Slack in the browser.

Tip: Slack Channel IDs can be added to each property only after the System Settings Slack Team ID has been entered

5. In Operto Teams, navigate to Setup --> Staff. Edit each Staff, scroll down to the Dashboard section, and check Show Slack Links.

Usage

Throughout the administration, the Property folders will show a link to the Slack Channel throughout the app.

Staff Dashboards will show a link to the property Slack Channels.

Staff Dashboard Slack links only show if:

1. Staff has Show Slack Links checked
2. Property has a Channel ID entered
3. System Settings has a Team ID entered.

Tip: In order to use Slack messaging, Staff must have the Slack App installed on their device, and be added as a Teammate in the Slack Team account.
