Start After Previous Task Rule Type - Parent and Child Tasks
The Start After Previous Task Rule Type, allows the Task To be dependent on a parent Task Rule.
Below is an explanation of the functionality.
1. The Start After Previous Task will only generate if the parent Task is also assigned and generated to any given Property. For example, if a Property does not have the parent Task Check Out Clean assigned, the dependent Task Inspection will not be generated.
2. The dependent Task will never be allowed to be scheduled before the parent Task.
3. If the dependent Task Rule Task is Initially Added on field is changed after its creation, use the Update Task boxes and the white box at the bottom of the Assignments page in Setup --> Task Rules; Edit Assignments (people icon) to force the Tasks to move to the updated parameter.
- If the parent Task is made Inactive, for example, a canceled cleaning Task. The dependent Task will remain Active and will also need to be made Inactive manually.
- The Start After Previous Task Rule Type can only be a dependent Task for the following Task Rule Types: Before Check In; After Check Out; Mid Vacancy, and Changeover.
