Single Sign On Migrating Tips

  1. Prepare Staff in a Meeting

Schedule a meeting for all Staff members to be together in one place with management on the day of your SSO migration. This will allow Managers to ensure that all Staff can log on successfully before they start their workday.

  1. Handling shared email addresses and dashboards

If your business uses a shared email, such as operations@yourbusiness.com, one of the users will need to create the single sign-on and then share it with other users.

  1. Contact any Owners associated with your account and inform them that the change is coming.
  2. Once your Staff, and Owners have migrated to single sign-on, Administrators will be able to view the green checkmark icon confirmation next to the associated record.

  1. If Users have not migrated (X icon under Account Setup), they should start the migration process by first logging in on the legacy login page. https://teams.operto.com/login
  2. If users are showing as migrated but still having trouble logging in. Use the Renew Access option for their Staff record to reset it back to legacy login and then start over at the legacy login page.
  3. If users are having difficulty migrating, try sending a new welcome message with the link that can help get them going in the right direction.
  4. If a User is logging in here https://auth.teams.operto.com/email-login and the credentials are not recognized, it is likely because they have not completed the migration. In this case, the Forgot Password option will not send a verification for non-migrated users; they will need to go back to the legacy login page to start the migration process.

Note: If a user has been inactive for 8 hours the user will be taken back to the account selection screen.
