Quickbooks Desktop Billing and Payroll Integration - Setup Steps
Connect Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise or Pro versions to Operto Teams for the following functionality:
Approve and push completed Tasks into Quickbooks Desktop as Sales Order Items Approve and push Staff Shift Times into Quickbooks Desktop as Payroll line items
SETUP STEPS
Step 1: Install Quickbooks Web Connector onto your computer:

Note: The installation must be run as an Administrator
Step 2: Install Quickbooks integration into Operto Teams and download the Web Connector Files
In your Operto Teams Account, navigate to Manage (three dots) --> Quickbooks
Click the QuickBooks icon
Click Install Now
Click Next
Download Zip File
Unzip the connector files.
Step 3: Add the Operto Teams Web Connector Files into Quickbooks Web Connector
Open Quickbooks Web Connector
Click Add an Application
Navigate to the unzipped folder of web connect files downloaded from Operto Teams.
Choose VRS-SyncInfo.qwc
Click OK
Enter your password in the Password box.
Only Items of type Service and Non-inventory Part will have dollar amounts transferred.
Use a Service type items type for mapping Labor.
Use a Non-inventory Part item type for mapping Materials.
Check the box to the left of Push Quickbooks entities into Operto Teams, then click Update Selected. This will add your Quickbooks Customers and List Items into Operto Teams so that you can Map Properties and Tasks.
Add the Sync Billing Web Connect file if used
Click Add an Application, and choose VRS-BillingBatch.qwc
Click OK to Authorize the Operto Teams service
Add the password chosen in step 1.
Add the Sync Payroll Web Connect file if used
Click Add an Application, and choose VRS-timetrackingbatch.qwc
Click OK to Authorize the Operto Teams service
Add the password chosen in step 1.
Step 4: Sync Items from Quickbooks into Quickbooks
Step 4: Map Billing and Payroll Items
In Operto Teams Admin, navigate back to Setup --> Apps and Integrations
Billing
From the Gear icon, choose Match Task Rules
For each Task Rule, choose an Item from QB to use as the Sales Order line item. You may choose a different QB Item for Labor and Materials amounts. Click Save then Back to Integrations.
From the Gear icon, choose Match Properties
For each Property, choose a Customer:Job from QB to use as the Customer:job the sales order will be attached to. Click Save then Back to Integrations.
Payroll
From the Gear icon, choose Match Payroll. Choose the Payroll Item Wage (found in Quickbooks under Lists --> Payroll Item List) to associate the Staff Shift Times with. Click Save then Back to Integrations.
From the Gear icon, choose Match Staff Choose the Employee to associate each Staff member with. Click Save then Back to Integrations.
