Why is the Piece Pay amount not showing in Reports?

Q: For some or all of my Tasks, the Piece Pay amount is incorrect, or zero is showing in Reports, why?

A: When piece pay amounts are added to a Task Rule, if tasks have already been created using that rule, the new piece pay amounts will not automatically update unless you check the "Update Tasks" box.

To update any future tasks which were created before the piece pay amounts were added, use the following steps:

  • Go to Setup-->Task Rules
  • Click Edit Assignments (people icon) for the Task Rule you wish to update
  • Make any desired changes to piece pay amounts and click the Update Tasks box next to the piece pay amount.
  • At the bottom of the page, check the box next to Update current tasks with above piece pay amounts only for selected properties and click Save
  • If there is a large number of tasks to update, it may take a few moments to finish updating

This will not update tasks that were completed in the past.

To update the piece pay amount for already completed tasks, you can use the Edit all Types, Rates and Amounts function in the Blended Pay Report.
