Adding Properties from API Connection or Manually

If Operto Teams is connected to your Property Management System (Escapia, Orbirental, etc.) through API, use the Import Properties from API connection functionality.  This will import and connect any new PMS property so the bookings can be imported.

Note: Please see your integration page for specifics on how Properties are imported from your API  Integrations
Important Tip: The Property Name and Abbreviation must be unique to each property and must differ in some way. ie Name: The Lake House  Abbreviation: LakeHouse

If an API connection is not used, use the Add Properties Manually option.

Import Properties from API connection

Operto Teams can automatically import your vacation rental properties if you are connected to an API (Escapia, Orbirental, V12, Beds24, etc.)

  1. Add the property to your Property Management Software
  2. Setup --> Properties --> Click the Actions button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  3. On the Actions button, drop-down menu click on +Request Pull From [PMS System]. This button will queue Operto Teams to look for new properties.

Troubleshooting Tips:

1. Search Unassigned Region to find the new property

2. If the property is not showing, it may have been previously imported and made inactive.  Choose Show Inactive and use the Keyword field, or Ctrl F in your browser to search for the property using the property name, or id from your PMS. Choose the eye icon to make the property active. 

Important Tip: Anytime new properties are added, it is imperative that the Master Calendar is reviewed. For the new property, be sure all Bookings are imported and all Tasks are scheduled.  Troubleshoot any issues  immediately. 

Add Properties Manually 

  1. On the Properties, page click the Actions button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
  2. On the Actions button drop-down menu click on +Add Property.
  3. Enter the property information and click Save.

Tip: Have properties with similar addresses and details such as condos, rooms, or apartments? Use the Copy to New feature (double paper icon) to add them and quickly adjust differences. Procedure for Adding a Property for additional setup steps after adding the property.

Tip:   To add more than 10 properties use this excel spreadsheet to gather the essential information, then email it to help-teams@operto.com and we will import them for you.
